Build a website for dummies

Build a website for dummies

Build a website for dummies is very easy these days. This is because these days, with modern tools available on the internet, it is possible to build a website for dummies. I recently showed in one of my other posts, step by step pictures, how to build a website in a few easy steps. If you would like to see those pictures and that post, click here. If you follow those pictures, it will help you to build your website.

This article talks about building a website for dummies. What you need is a framework in which to learn how to build a website for dummies, and included in that framework, a way to put that knowledge into use. In my opinion, it is best to learn something and than validate that new knowledge by applying it in a practical way in the real world, where this is possible.

This approach has both of these components. First you learn some theory, by watching some online videos, when you want, in your own time frame. You can wind the online videos back a few seconds and watch sections of it, as many times as you like, to help ensure that you understand the information. Then you can optionally do exercises, to apply this knowledge and to help you with your Wealthy Affiliate experience. Then you learn some more, apply that knowledge and continue on with this approach.

If you do this consistently for a period of time, you will soon discover that you have knowledge and some experience in building a website.

Building a website is much simpler today than it used to be

Building a website these days is a simple enough task compared to building a website a few years ago. Today by using tools we can take advantage of time saving tools to help us build websites. We can even build free websites, with some limitations and get them host for free on the web so that the free websites are accessible on the internet.

This post talks about building your website from the very beginning to getting it up and running on the internet so that you and others can access it from the internet. This approach is a well travelled and well tested method that other people have done, including me, the founder, owner and web master as djtrlm dot com.

This approach shows you how to turn one of your passions into a great website, maybe even as nice and beautiful as this one. 🙂

If you decide to follow this valuable information and act on it, you will have access to online video training sessions which explain and show you how to build your website. You can then immediately build a free website on this great platform. This is a great way to validate this approach. You do it, then see the results. Once you get your first simple website up and running, you can then build it.

Building a website for dummies

Building a website for dummies these days is a lot easier than it used to be. Today, there are tools available. I build websites using my Wealthy Affiliate account because they provide the whole setup that I need to get a website up and running with the least amount of trouble. I wrote a post which includes some screenshots that shows that building a website for dummies is in my opinion easy. See the post here.
Of course, I would not have said this a while back before I learned and used this great approach. 🙂 🙂

I like to show you the SiteHealth of this website over a period of time. The main idea here is to show that using this SiteHealth tool I was able to convert it from RED to GREEN by focusing my time and effort on activities that helped me to achieve this goal.
Web Site Health - Red - Site Health Needs WorkWeb Site Health - Orange - Site Health Is Getting BetterWeb Site Health - Blue - Site Health Is Pretty GoodWeb Site Health - Green - Site Health Is Awesome

By following the online materials, including great online videos provided by Wealthy Affiliate the Site Health of this web site changed from red to green. You too can learn how to do this. Below is more information which when followed up and acted on by yourself will, in my humble opinion, most likely help you to obtain results as well. I have no way of knowing if your results will be better or worst than mine. Note that you can start from having no website and/or having no website knowledge. By following this approach, that will quickly change. 🙂 🙂

I learned things here too and continue to do so. I find the style of doing online step-by-step video presentations great. I can view the online step-by-step video presentations whenever I want. I learn and do things at my own pace. This suits me very well and no doubt suits many other people as well and may suit you as well.

People learn crawling first, then walking, then running and so on. It is the same idea here. Remember learning how to ride a bike when you were a child. 🙂 🙂

  1. Hi David,

I was always afraid of the internet and the thought of actually building my own website terrified me. I had no idea or knowledge of CSS or HTML or anything else outside browsing and sending a few emails.

It’s fantastic that now nearly anyone can begin to build their own website. Not only that but be taught online how to do so is fantastic.

Now I can see that it would be possible for me to build a website. My next struggle however will be what on earth will I write about???

    Cheers

    • Hi Boyo,

You would write about your passions. I notice that your image is one of a football, so maybe you would write about sports, maybe about football.

      Cheers,

      David
