Good savings with Domain Cost Club

Good savings with Domain Cost Club

I am a fully paid up member of Domain Cost Club. This allows me to buy or renew my domains at special member prices which provides me with good savings.

Savings made by me on March 19, 2016

Earlier today I renewed 2 of my dot com domains for 2 years and opted for domain name privacy.

This is what the prices were:

2 years domain registration for 1 dot com website $7.85 per year * 2 (for 2 years) $15.70
2 years ICANN fee for 1 dot com website $0.18 per year * 2 (for 2 years) $0.36
2 years domain name privacy for 1 dot com website $0.00 per year * 2 (for 2 years) $0.00
2 years domain registration for another dot com website $7.85 per year * 2 (for 2 years) $15.70
2 years ICANN fee for the second dot com website $0.18 per year * 2 (for 2 years) $0.36
2 years domain name privacy for the second dot com website $0.00 per year * 2 (for 2 years) $0.00
Paypal processing fee 5% of $32.12 (the above totted up) $1.61
Overall total $33.73

I decided to compare this price against the current prices that my previous domain registrar currently charges. This is what I found out. They charge $16.99 per year for dot com domains, and charge $9.99 per year per domain name for domain name privacy.

This is what their prices would be:

2 years domain registration for 1 dot com website $16.99 per year * 2 (for 2 years) $33.98
2 years ICANN fee for 1 dot com website $0.18 per year * 2 (for 2 years) $0.36
2 years domain name privacy for 1 dot com website $9.99 per year * 2 (for 2 years) $19.98
2 years domain registration for another dot com website $16.99 per year * 2 (for 2 years) $33.98
2 years ICANN fee for the second dot com website $0.18 per year * 2 (for 2 years) $0.36
2 years domain name privacy for the second dot com website $9.99 per year * 2 (for 2 years) $19.98
Paypal processing fee 5% of $108.64 (the above totted up) $5.44
Overall total $114.08

Pretty good saving

As I am already a fully paid up member of Domain Cost Club, I saved $80.35 on my purchase today. I paid only $33.73 verses the $114.08 price, saving $80.35 in the process. I paid less than 30% of what I would have had to pay if I was not a member of Domain Cost Club (membership of Domain Cost Club is free for the first month, than $99 per year or $499 for life). As I purchase domains quite often, I opted for the lifetime option as that is the most effective and most efficient for me. You can read my review of Domain Cost Club here.

Try out Domain Cost Club Yourself with a free 30 day trial

Also they now have the option to try out a free 30 day trial with them and if you upgrade to a paid membership, they will cover the cost of up to 3 new domain names in selected domain name extensions for the first year, and dot com is included in that list, which is a great offer. They only introduced this neat new enhancement recently, based on feedback from the membership. You can find out more by clicking here.

  1. I am one who usually shy’s away from any type of Multi- Level Marketing Programs due to past experiences but I do like the savings on the Domain names. I believe once I start creating addittional websites I will strongly look into this but as of right now I have my hands full just with one. Having numerous domains I believe would be great for mini-websites?

    • Hi Troy,

I focus instead on showing examples of achieving realistic savings. To cover the cost of membership, you do need to purchase a number of domains through Domain Cost Club, and if you normally purchase domain privacy for each of your domains, the break even point is quicker. Some domain registrar’s still charge a hefty fee for domain privacy on an annual basis and for each domain name. This adds up quite quickly if you have a number of domains. The example I outline above is to renew two dot com domain names, each for 2 years and includes domain privacy and the saving in my opinion is quite a lot.

Once you are in the market for a number of domain names, look at this again, just from the point of view of looking at the savings you could made.

      Have a great day,

      Cheers,

      David

  2. Hey,
great website here filled with great information.
looks like a great place to buy domain, right?
However, few things I seems not to get clear here.
the life membership, does it come with free domains, and if so ,how many?
again the prices you listed are great, is email account part of the features that come with the prices you listed above? again, the prices you quoted above, is it for one domain or two
thanks greatly while expecting your reply!

    • Hello Clems,

This is a great place to buy domains. I used to buy/renew my domains with other domain registrar’s, however now purchase/renew all of my domains with them due to the excellent healthy savings I make now that I have purchased the lifetime membership option of them.

      Thanks for your great questions.

I do believe that when you complete your free trial and become a paid member for the first time (Annual or Lifetime), you have 90 days to register your 3 free domains in selected extensions including dot com, dot net and net xyz amongst others. The registration fee for the domains are free for the first year. Only registrations are eligible; no renewals or transfers.

Email functionally is associated with where the domain name is hosted, not where the domain name is registered. This domain name djtrlm dot com is registered with Domain Cost Club. This domain name djtrlm dot com is hosted with Wealthy Affiliate. The email functionally associated with djtrlm dot com is managed by my website hosting provider, Wealthy Affiliate.

The prices I mentioned in my article above are for renewing two dot com domain names, each for two years and each includes the cost of domain privacy for the full two years. I will edit the tables above to make this clearer.

      Have a great day.

      David
