Why would you become a Domain Cost Club Member?

Why would you become a Domain Cost Club Member?

My review of Domain Cost Club outlines why exactly you should become a member.

Bottom line reasons could be to work from home, vacation anywhere, work anywhere there is an internet connection, be your own boss, have fun when making money, and so on and so forth. If you are also looking not to handle physical stock and associated headaches, Domain Cost Club could be for you.

If you become a Domain Cost Club member and you direct people to your replicated Domain Cost Club website (Go here to visit my replicated Domain Cost Club website, yours would be the same except for the affiliate id), you could be selling many Domain Cost Club membership packages. Domain Cost Club members enjoy at-cost domain name pricing and the ability to earn money on referrals.

Domain Registrar Reviews – My review of Domain Cost Club

My review is based on experience. I have been buying domains since at least April 2002. This domain djtrlm.com was first registered by me in April 2002. I became a Domain Cost Club member in November 2014. By the end of the first half of 2015, I completed the process to transfer my domains over to Domain Cost Club. I now have all of my domains registered with Domain Cost Club.

Review Domain Cost Club

This is my Domain Cost Club review. As you can see from this article this is a great deal. Domain Cost Club membership allows you to purchase your web domain names using At-Cost pricing. The domain name industry is currently allowing many more top level extension names to be applied to domain names. These are the names seen at the end of domain names, and traditionally were names like .COM .NET .ORG along with country extension names like .CO.UK .IE .CA
Now many more extension names are in use and more will be in use in the future. Names like .DANCE .BAND .GREEN .NINJA .GLOBAL immediately jump to mind. There are loads more.

Who needs to buy domain names?

In a nutshell, everyone. They are brought for different purposes, including branding purposes, blogging purposes, marketing purposes, selling purposes and flipping purposes.

At-Cost Domain Registrations, At-Cost Renewals, At-Cost Transfers

Domain Cost Club is the first and only domain registrar in the world to offer all domains at cost. Domain Cost Club members enjoy transparent at-cost pricing on domain registrations, renewals and transfer-ins.

Domain Cost Club members register as many domains as they want (subject to applicable Domain Cost Club Membership type – You can upgrade your membership type if necessary) and at any time they want at the same exact price that it costs Domain Cost Club and every other ICANN accredited registrar, such as GoDaddy and Network Solutions.

An example of Domain Cost Club member Savings is At-Cost .ACCOUNTANTS Registrations are $66 per year vs the recommended retail price of $130 per year. A savings of $64 per domain per year.

Who should join Domain Cost Club

In a nutshell, everyone. Let me explain why. In the internet, domain names are very important for branding purposes. Some domain names are worth a fortune. Many people test different websites with different domain names in order to determine which combination works best for them. So if you are purchasing domain names the at-cost pricing on domains for Domain Cost Club members can add up to some serious savings while building up your domain interests.

If you blog or have a website or two or more, you can save $40 or more on a single domain registration as a Domain Cost Club Member. If you have been on the internet for a while as a blogger or as a business owner or as a hobbyist or as an affiliate, you are all set for your own domain. For branding purposes and professional purposes, it looks a lot better if you use your own domain. You may also know a number of other people who are too. In this case, join Domain Cost Club, brand yourself by registering a domain, use your new domain, refer a few friends, and you could end up with more than just a great deal on a domain, you could make money too.

In conclusion

This is a very real opportunity with a lot of potential international scope. Work from home and vacation anywhere with Domain Cost ClubIn January 2015, there were over 284,000,000 domain names registered worldwide. There is a lot of potential international scope. You too can work from home in this huge, really huge industry.

OK, what do you do now?

You do some maths and see does it make sense for you.
You do have to factor in the cost of Domain Cost Club membership, the number of domains you buy per year, the number of domains requiring private registration services and the associated affiliate arrangement. When I factor in those factors, for me, Domain Cost Club comes out on top. This may also be the case for you.

Here is the all important link so that you can learn more.

If you are a Domain Cost Club Member, you would enjoy At-Cost Domain pricing for the domains you purchase via Domain Cost Club. You would also have the ability to earn money on referrals. Now is a great time to become a Domain Cost Club Member. Talk about being in the right place at the right time. Click here to learn more and purchase your Domain Cost Club Membership today.

Let me know if you have any applicable thoughts on this great subject by leaving your applicable thoughts below. Many thanks. πŸ™‚

How are they able to offer domain registrations at cost? I’m assuming the company is a domain registrar themselves in order to allow people to register domain names. Since they are a company it’s reasonable to assume that they will have overhead expenses and costs to run their business. How are they able to recoup these overhead expenses and costs, in addition to making a profit by selling domains at cost? it seems like there is some sort of catch or upsell?

Thanks for your questions. Domain Cost Club is powered by Global Domains International, Inc which was founded in 1999. GDI launched the .WS ccTLD registry in 2000. GDI has operated a successful Internet-based network marketing program since 2001, making monthly payments to its members for 14 years. The two companies have the same founders. Domain Cost Club Members pay a membership fee in order to buy domains at cost. The margin on the membership fee is enough to recover costs as they use Internet-based network marketing to keep some of their costs down. There is no catch. Apart from becoming a Charter Member, there is no up-sell. I myself am a Charter Member because it makes perfect sense to me.

Sounds very intruguing how they can offer domain names at cost and still make money. Everybody wants to work on the internet these days so domain names are a hot commodity.

Yes, that is the bit that gets people. Domain Cost Club Members pay a membership fee in order to buy domains at cost. The margin on the membership fee is enough to recover costs as they use Internet-based network marketing to keep some of their costs down. As more people start to build their own websites, the domain name business can only get more interesting. As more top level extension names become available (eg .GREEN .GURU .NINJA), the domain business will become more interesting.

    I have some questions David

How much does a .com domain cost for a year subscription with this Club?…because I have bought a domain from Name Cheap for just $10 for a year. You mentioned that someone could save $40 on a single domain registrations. How can that happen?

And what exactly means a standard membership for $99 per year?…How many domains can I have with that price?..

It would be awesome if you can clarify these queries for me.

      Hi Tasos,

      Thanks for your questions.

For Domain Cost Club members, At the current time a .com domain with Domain Cost Club costs $7.85

The recommended price for a .com domain is $15.00

The potential savings are more for the new top level extension names. For example just last week (sorry this has now expired) Domain Cost Club had a ‘flash’ sale for names using the .host top level extension name. The usual recommended price for a .host domain is $65. Last week for a few days only, for Domain Cost Club members could get one for $5 or as many as they like for $5 each.

They have these special offers from time to time.

Also I did a comparison a while back. At the time the following potential savings per domain name could be achieved by Domain Cost Club Members for domains obtained via Domain Cost Club. You can see this comparison here.

You see that then for a domain name with the .ACCOUNTANTS extension name, the recommended retail price is $130 per year. Domain Cost Club Members can buy .ACCOUNTANTS domain names via Domain Cost Club for $66 each. I looked again just now, and this is still the case.

There are over 250 domain name extensions now that can be purchased via Domain Cost Club. Some of which have these huge potential savings per domain name.

Standard membership of Domain Cost Club allows you to buy domain names using this At-Cost model. When you are a member, you can then buy domain names inside of your Domain Cost Club membership area. Domain Cost Club members enjoy At-Cost domain pricing and the ability to earn money on referrals.

You will find more information here.

If you have any more questions, please ask them here and I will get back to you as soon as I can.

      Cheers,

Thank you for your answer David.I can understand clearer now , a .com domain costs $7.85 for a year.Yes , that is cheaper than other registrars.I did not know that these new extensions are so expensive.May be they grab the opportunity to gain as much as they can now that the demand is very high.I would not believe that a domain could cost $130 for a year.

I am going to check it out for myself as soon as I have the chance due to work overload right now.And I will come back to state my experience.

        Have a nice day

          Hi Tasos,

Some of the new domain extensions make it much easier to guess things about the website before you go to it. It does not take a lot to work out what “Burger.Melbourne” do and where they are located. I am getting hungry and they are on the other side of the planet. πŸ™‚

These new domain extension names are making the web more interesting. Other businesses are buying the rights to use the new domain extension names, and sometimes these go to auction. Donuts, a domain registry business has spent $58,000,000 to apply for over 300 new top-level domains and has around 190 of these under contract. At the moment my understanding is that Donuts is the owner of the newest new domain extension name, beating other well known companies Google and Amazon. Google in February 2015 in an ICANN auction brought the rights to the new .APP extension name by paying over $25,000,000.

Donuts and Google are going to re-coup their investments over time using whatever business models make the most sense.

Remember that Domain Cost Club Members enjoy at-cost domain pricing and the ability to earn money on referrals.

          Cheers,

            Hi Tasos,

You are most welcome. I hope that you find my articles and comments useful along with the comments from other readers.

The web domain name industry is changing and the newer extension names are adding a lot. Some people think dot com will disappear in time however I do not think so.
Some people think that dot com will remain very strong in America and that the growth for the newer extension names is really going to come from Asia. Time will tell.

Let us know how your research comes along.

            Thanks for your good wishes,

Also good luck in your projects in the future, whether you decide to join me in Domain Cost Club or not.

Thanks again for your good wishes,
            Best,

    Hi there!
This seems like a very attractive proposition on the surface – who wouldn’t want to pay tidy prices for domain names for once?
I’ve only ever used GoDaddy but they make sure you pay the full premium when purchasing with them.
Can I ask, how many times have you bought off this lot and have you had any concerns thus far?
They seem very attractive but I’d like to know how new they are to the market.
    Look forward to your reply

      Hi Chris,

      Thanks for asking these questions.

At this stage, with Domain Cost Club I have brought the following:

      1) I brought an Annual Club Member package to basically review their offerings etc and to see things on the inside. I brought in my brother, because he buys more domains than I do and I knew he would save money on that fact alone. When he came in, I was notified by email straight away that he joined, so it was good to know that. πŸ™‚

      2) I upgraded my membership to lifetime charter member because I would see the value long term for me. I would have saved some money if I had brought the charter membership package from the very beginning, however I wanted to check things out and see things from the inside for myself first.

      3) I have moved one of my domains that I had registered with someone else over to them. I outlined that experience here.

      4) I have brought a completely new .com domain of them.

      5) Within the next few months, I will be moving another of my .com domain over to them.

Whenever I buy domains in the future, it will be through them. I will never have to pay retail prices for a domain again.

The back office within the Domain Cost Club for managing domains, I find it easier and fresher to use than with other domain registrars I have been with in the past.

I have asked Domain Cost Club support questions in the past and they come back to me with my questions answered in a timely manner.

Domain Cost Club started in the summer/fall of 2014. Taken of their web page:

“Domain Cost Club is powered by Global Domains International, Inc. GDI was founded in 1999 and launched the .WS ccTLD registry in 2000. GDI has operated a successful Internet-based network marketing program since 2001, making monthly payments to its members for 14 years.”

All in, a good deal I think you will agree.

If you or any of our readers have any additional questions, please ask them here. I will get back to you as soon as I can.

I look forward to you joining my team here.

      Hi,

Thanks for your comments. Yes it is relatively new, however some of its founders founded Global Domains International. I grabbed the following information from the Domain Cost Club website.

“Domain Cost Club is powered by Global Domains International, Inc. GDI was founded in 1999 and launched the .WS ccTLD registry in 2000. GDI has operated a successful Internet-based network marketing program since 2001, making monthly payments to its members for 14 years.”

I think that the membership offering which allows people to buy domains at-cost is a good offer, especially if they buy a number of domains per year. I focus on the potential cost savings if you buy domains as a Domain Cost Club Member because I believe long term that many people will be buying multiple domains each year and this is where potential savings can be made.

Thanks for dropping by and leaving your comments. They are appreciated.

    Hi David
Thanks for a great article. I see a .com can be bought for $7.85? But what if I only have 4 domains, it would really be worth the yearly fee then?
Do you have to pay the yearly fee to be an affiliate and how does it work that you get your own website?
    Sorry for all the questions!

      Hi Lynne,

Thanks for the questions. They are all good questions.

To answer your questions: You do have to factor in the cost of Domain Cost Club membership, the number of domains you buy per year, the number of domains requiring private registration services and the associated affiliate arrangement. I think that the time is right. πŸ™‚

With 4 dot com sites, you will most likely save money if you are on the right Domain Cost Club membership package. πŸ™‚

You pay a membership fee to become a Domain Cost Club Member which allows you to purchase your domains via Domain Cost Club using At-Cost pricing. When you become a member, they give you a replicated website. See mine here.

When people buy Domain Cost Club Membership packages using your link, you get credit.

You can buy domains via Domain Cost Club if you are not a member. In this case, you pay the recommended retail price for any domains brought in that way.

    Great review.

It sounds like a great idea, but I just have a question. What happens with domains that you have already purchased through Go Daddy or other registrars. Can you renew them through Domain Cost Club and save when the time comes?

Normally a domain costs around $10 to $12 a year if it is new, so it would be interesting to know what the domains cost through the Domain Cost Club.

      Hi Michel,

      Great question.

Yes, you simply transfer them across to Domain Cost Club when the time comes. I have done this twice and the process itself is simple enough when you know what to do. Where do you get this know how I hear you ask? You read an earlier post I wrote here.

The second time I moved a domain from my old registrar to Domain Cost Club, the process was much simpler. I just followed the points raised in the above post. πŸ™‚

A dot com domain costs less than $8 per year currently with Domain Cost Club.

Did you notice that Google make its new home at abc.xyz?

Domain Cost Club Members can obtain .xyz domains for $1 until August 31, 2015.

I got 2 .xyz domains in the excitement and spent a whopping $2 in the process. My Domain Cost Club Membership saved me over $28 in the process. πŸ™‚
